1,400 ראיונות השמע והתמלילים בנושא השואה משקפים את ההיקף הרחב של החומרים שנאספו על ידי חוקרים שונים ונמצאים בארכיון של המדור לתיעוד בעל-פה במכון ליהדות זמננו על-שם אברהם הרמן באוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים. 
האוסף כולל ראיונות שנערכו בתחילת שנות ה-60 כשהמאגר של ניצולי השואה (במיוחד אלו שהיו מבוגרים בזמן המלחמה) היה הרבה יותר גדול ובעבור רבים מהניצולים ראיונות אלו היו הפעם הראשונה שסיפרו את אשר חוו במלחמה. 
אוסף הראיונות התפתח במהלך 60 השנים כשיותר חוקרים, חלקם בכירים ואחרים בראשית דרכם, החלו לעסוק בנושא ולחקור סוגיות של חיי היהודים תחת המשטר הנאצי. מעבר לביטוי האישי של סיפורי הניצולים, אוסף זה מבטא את התפתחות המחקר והחיפוש אל תוך העבר הקשה. משאב זה ישמש ככלי יקר ערך עבור חוקרי השואה.

The 1,400 Holocaust audio and transcript interviews reflect the broad scope of materials collected by various scholars and are in the archives of the Oral Documentation Section of the Abraham Herman Institute of Contemporary Judaism at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
The collection includes interviews conducted in the early 1960s when the pool of Holocaust survivors (especially those who were older during the war) was much larger and for many of the survivors these interviews were the first time they told what they had experienced in the war.
The collection of interviews developed over the 60 years as more scholars, some senior and others at the beginning, began to address the issue and explore issues of Jewish life under the Nazi regime. Beyond the personal expression of survivor stories, this collection expresses the evolution of research and search into the difficult past. This resource will serve as a valuable tool for Holocaust scholars.
